Date Everything has exactly 100 characters for you to unlock, which can be pretty overwhelming when you first start out. Luckily, there are a few that you just have to unlock first.

As the name implies, Date Everything enables you to romance every household object you see. Naturally, though, some items are well hidden, leaving you to figure out who’s dateable, who you want to date, and of course, which one you want to romance first.

So, to save yourself from awkwardly stumbling through the many different dates and characters to find the best ones, here are the first few items of furniture you should date first (that will never sound normal).

Beau

  • Item: Boxes
  • Voice Actor: Ashley Johnson

If you’re a fan of Critical Role or The Last of Us, then you’ll want to unlock Beau first. She represents all the boxes in your home, and there are A LOT of boxes.

Of course, you can only speak to one box per day, but once you do, you’ll uncover an adorable character who sets you on the longest quest in the game, which also grants you an achievement (two for one!).

While you get the option to skip the 30-minute quest, we recommend sticking it out as her story is one of the best in the game. Oh, and you’ll also meet plenty of characters, including a pirate and some cockroach soldiers.

Mitchell Lynn

  • Item: Food
  • Voice Actor: J Michael Tatum

Mitchell Lynn is a fantastic item to get to know at the beginning of your Date Everything adventure. Not only is he pretty charming with an extremely clever character design (I want his bread notebook), but his questlines are easy to follow and let you meet several different characters.

You’ll be able to meet the sofa, the fridge, and the dishware, all while enjoying delicious food and romancing your way to this food critic’s heart. He’s simple to enjoy, and gives you a deeper taste of the kitchen at the same time.

Gaia

  • Item: Globe
  • Voice Actor: Oz Ryan

Similar to Mitchell Lynn, Gaia is a great character to unlock, mostly because of how useful she is when meeting new characters. She offers hints as to who you can unlock next, which is incredibly useful.

On top of this, if you unlock her first, you can begin her task of speaking to other characters from ‘around the world.’ So, as you speak to the rest of the characters, you’ll further her questline. You’ll also get some cool country facts as a reward (if you’re into that kind of thing).

Maggie

  • Item: Magnifying Glass
  • Voice Actor: Ali Hillis

Sitting close by to Gaia is Maggie. She’s all about investigating and will have you exploring multiple different characters. However, where she stands out is her Roomers feature.

She’ll implement a feature that allows you to capture rumors throughout your conversations with other characters, allowing you to find hidden dateables. It’s extremely useful when you just start out.

Wallace

  • Item: Wall
  • Voice Actor: Ray Chase

Voiced by one-third of Sassy Chap Games, Wallace is a fantastic character to speak to in the beginning. Not only is he voiced by Ray Chase, but he’s also one of the easiest characters to fall in love with.

After one simple conversation, you’ll be able to romance Wallace, increasing your S.P.E.C.S., which helps with tougher conversations, like ones with Cam. Keep speaking to him and you’ll uncover another side to him, but for the first few conversations, just revel in the increased stats.
