Fortnite is reportedly set to collab with Overwatch 2 and fans won’t have long to wait until it happens.
Overwatch 2 has taken a much different approach to skins than the first game, with the sequel featuring an assortment of crossovers with anime franchises and other games like Street Fighter.
Meanwhile, Fortnite has been the crossover king for many years now and it seems like the two worlds are going to collide.
The news comes from a reliable insider and leaker ShiinaBR, who has a solid track record. If this is true, then we could expect to see Overwatch 2 heroes join the battle royale very soon.
Overwatch x Fortnite crossover could arrive by March
According to ShiinaBR, the crossover is set to drop within three months, suggesting that it’ll arrive by March or April.
Not much is known about the crossover yet, and it’s unclear if it will involve just Overwatch heroes joining Fortnite or if the two games will collide in other ways.
It’s always possible that Fortnite also comes to Overwatch in some capacity, but right now, given ShiinaBR’s reputation, it seems like Fortnite will be the focus.
This news also comes as, a few months back, Overwatch appeared in multiple Fortnite surveys, suggesting that Epic was already looking into a possible crossover.
