Kick star Adin Ross has pledged to cover the funeral costs for French streamer Jean Pormanove, alongside rapper Drake, following the 46-year-old’s death during a broadcast.

On August 18, Raphaël Graven, known online as Jean Pormanove, died in his sleep while livestreaming on Kick.

In the days leading up to his death, the French creator had been subjected to humiliation and abuse on stream from fellow streamers identified as Naruto and Safine. Reports allege he endured “ten days and nights of torture,” including physical violence, sleep deprivation, and being forced to ingest toxic products.

Clips circulating on social media show Pormanove being hit, strangled, and shot with paintball guns during broadcasts.

Adin Ross demands “severe consequences” after Jean Pormanove’s death

The French government has since opened an investigation. Clara Chappaz, France’s minister for digital affairs and artificial intelligence, described the case as an “absolute horror,” adding that she has referred it to the media regulator Arcom and the Pharos reporting system.

On X, Adin Ross shared similar sentiments and demanded accountability.

“This is horrible and disgusting,” he said. “Everyone who played a role in this death needs to face severe consequences.”

He also revealed that he and Drake will step in to help Pormanove’s family.

“I just spoke with Drake. Drake and I will be covering the funeral costs. This won’t bring his life back, but it’s the least we can do. Prayers go out to Jean’s family.”

Kick has responded by saying it is “urgently reviewing” the situation. A spokesperson added that the platform’s guidelines are “designed to protect creators” and that the site is “committed to upholding these standards.”

Meanwhile, the prosecutor’s office confirmed that an investigation into the cause of death is ongoing and that an autopsy has been ordered.
