An adult-themed island in Animal Crossing has been banned by Nintendo after remaining accessible for five years.
Animal Crossing has a ton of jaw-dropping islands out there that are made by talented players. One person even straight-up transformed theirs into a Fallout-looking wasteland.
Of course, with all the game’s tools, someone was bound to push things a little further. Creator churip_ccc’s island is famously known for its adult theme, having been a popular spot for curious players and YouTubers to check out.
But after five years, the island has effectively been shut down by Nintendo. According to the creator, the island’s Dream Address no longer works, making it inaccessible.

As translated by Automaton from their X post, just a day before the update, Nintendo deleted the Dream Address for their adult island. They did apologize to the company, though, but not without sneaking in a light tongue-in-cheek joke.
“To Nintendo, I apologize from the bottom of my heart. Or rather, thank you for turning a blind eye for more than five years,” they wrote.
Additionally, they’ve thanked everyone who visited the island, including streamers who showcased it in their videos.
If you’re curious what the island looks like, it pretty much lives up to its name. One of its standout locations is a love hotel flanked by Gallant statues, with neon palm trees used for clever censorship.
Not only that, but it also had everything from strip clubs, brothels, adult shops, girl bars, smoking areas, to an Edo-era inspired red-light district, among others.
Even the workers’ homes were customized to fit the island’s adult theme, adding to the overall immersion.
While the adult island is no longer available as of now, you can still take a peek at it through videos uploaded on YouTube.
