Sienna Rose, a supposedly AI-generated artist has been dominating the charts on Spotify, bringing in close to 3 million listeners a month and being posted about by celebrities.

Artificial intelligence has been increasingly prevalent in creative corners. A number of AI services will generate images for posters and tweak other photos for you. However, it’s become increasingly used in music too.

Real-life musicians have had to battle with AI-generated songs dethroning them on platforms like Spotify and TikTok, with it being incredibly difficult for listeners to tell the difference. It’s only when they start taking a real look into things that they realise the person they’re listening to isn’t actually real.

Xania Monet, the AI project from poet Telisha Jones, is the most high-profile of these AI artists after bagging a multi-million dollar record deal and breaking into mainstream charts. Now, Monet’s footsteps are being followed by another artist – Sienna Rose.

Sienna Rose takes over on Spotify amid AI claims

The controversy around Sienna Rose dates back to mid-2025, when her music started popping up on Spotify. A number of users were immediately gripped by the songs, posting about becoming fans across social media.

With the calendar turning over to 2026, the artist’s success hasn’t stopped. As of January 14, she has three songs on the Viral 50 – USA charts, with her biggest track, Into the Blue, clocking at number six.

Rose has also stretched to close to 3 million monthly listeners on Spotify. That figure seemingly includes actress Selena Gomez, who posted a song from the supposedly AI artist on a photo dump from the Golden Globes.

Artist linked to Sienna Rose admits to using AI

Unlike some other AI-generated artists, Rose’s Spotify profile doesn’t have an admission of being fake. Her profile does, however, link to another artist by the name of Let Babylon Burn. That does admit to being AI.

“Let Babylon Burn is an independent artist from Norway, blending heartfelt, self-written lyrics with a unique fusion of acoustic music, production, recording, and AI-enhanced creativity. Drawing from multiple genres but leaning towards reggae, each track carries deeper meaning — often thought-provoking and emotionally resonant,” the profile says.

Sienna Rose seemingly uses AI on social media

There is also no admission of being AI on Rose’s Instagram or TikTok accounts. Yet, in one of the photos posted to Instagram, she does appear to have six fingers wrapped around a bottle of champagne. Extra fingers and distorted text are a usual telltale sign of AI usage.

Her socials have got people questioning if Rose is real, seeing as their follower counts don’t match up to her Spotify listenership.

Some critics have pointed out that there are “glitches” in her music, too. “There is at least one glitch in the first song, Under The Rain, see on 1:40-1:41, there is that robotic crack. It’s actually undeniable,” Redditor No-Program-8185 said.

There are plans for Xania Monet, the biggest AI artist, to start performing in concert. Though, it remains to be seen how that will translate for others.
