Wuchang: Fallen Feathers throws challenging bosses at you at a rapid pace, but it can be tough to know how many there are in each area.

While almost any enemy in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers can be a threat, the real high points are the boss fights. These brutally difficult encounters put all of your skills to the test, and you need to clear many of them in order to progress to the next chapter.

However, there are also plenty of optional fights in each area, which completionists will be desperate to beat before moving on. So, if you want to make sure you clear each foe as you go, here’s a list of all the bosses.

How many bosses in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers?

There are 20 bosses altogether in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. However, not all of them are essential, and you can often make it to the next stage even if you miss a couple of them, but you’ll lose out on some valuable items.

Each section also has a number of extra challenging fights, although these are not fully-fledged boss battles with named opponents. Instead, they’re just regular encounters but with an additional layer of difficulty, meaning you might have to revisit them later when you’ve levelled up.

This number also includes Bai Kru, who attacks you right at the start of the game, but is virtually unkillable at that stage.

All bosses in order

Chapter 1 – Worship’s Rise

There are eight bosses to take down in the first chapter, but only four of them are unavoidable. For example, I made it into the second chapter without even coming across Gluttonous Monstrosity – Lu Hongliu; it was only after backtracking that I came across it.

It’s also worth noting that the area features branching paths, meaning that you can actually tackle many bosses in any order.

Chapter 2 – Cloudspire

Cloudspire doesn’t contain quite as many bosses as Worship’s Rise, with only four to take down. Plus, there’s only one optional encounter to find, so you know that nearly every fight is helping you progress the story.

You can slip past General of the North – Ai Nengqi in the Rebel Camp easily enough, although he’s well worth beating as you unlock the Flamebringer Longsword, which is one of the best weapons in the entire game.

These are all of the bosses we can tell you about for now, but we’ll be updating this page with the full list once Wuchang: Fallen Feathers has been out in the wild a little longer.
