Put Your Money Where Microsoft’s Mouth Is?
Amazon is offering a bundle that includes an Xbox Wireless Controller and an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, as well as a single month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, for $90.18 - a price cut of almost $45.
Given this year alone, Xbox Game Pass has included day one launches like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, DOOM: The Dark Ages, and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, there’s plenty to play - although you will need to stump up $30 a month to keep Ultimate.
Microsoft’s price hike hasn’t gone down well with the fanbase, but if you factor in its new value at $30, you’re getting the Fire TV Stick and a controller for $60. You can even pick different color configurations for the pad.
That controller is ideal for your console and PC, too, so there’s a lot to like about this deal even if you’re not convinced by Microsoft’s vision of a game streaming future, which admittedly gets harder to predict by the day.
One thing’s for sure: It’s an awful lot cheaper than the Xbox consoles now that a price hike has taken hold (the second this year), although the tradeoff is that you’ll need some pretty great Wi-Fi speeds to handle playing games via the cloud.
Plus, if you don't need the whole bundle, for anyone looking to upgrade their streaming set-up, there’s something here for every kind of viewer amongst the newest models for Fire TV Sticks on sale for Prime Day.
The biggest highlight among this set of Prime Day deals is the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, which is now available for $39.99, a solid drop from its usual $59.99 price tag, or the regular 4K stick for $24.99, an equally as great deal.
