Amazon's massive Prime Big Deal Days sale is in full swing now, and we're tracking the very best discount in the sale through October 7 and 8. Notably, there are some rather excellent comic book and graphic novel deals to check out, including some of the biggest hits of the year, alongside some all-time classics.
My top picks include Ultimate Spider-Man Vol. 1 for just $7.13, which is a steal, alongside TMNT: The Last Ronin and its sequel, Kingdom Come by Mark Waid and All-Star Superman by Grant Morrison. Outside of superheroes, there's also the Complete Calvin and Hobbes collection, and The Complete Maus: A Survivor's Tale.
The Best Comic Deals for Prime Day Today
Superman Smashes the Klan is a standout addition to the sale, and a total steal at $12.42. The discounts across the board are excellent, with plenty of great comics and graphic novels dropping below $10, and several going for half price or less. My bank account might hate me for it, but that’s a small price to pay for not buying these gems at full price.
But, fair warning that most of these discounts are limited-time lightning deals, and will only last while Amazon still has allocated stock, or just by the end of the sale period, whichever comes first. So, don't hang around if you're looking to top up your comic backlog.
As a die-hard DC fan, Batman in particular, this sale is packed with must-haves. Mark Waid’s Kingdom Come, paired with Alex Ross’s legendary artwork, remains timeless.
But, the Batman selection alone is incredible. Batman: Year One is essential reading, and The Long Halloween remains, in my opinion, the best Batman story ever written. Pick them both up while they’re discounted, you won’t regret it.
Finally, don’t miss Grant Morrison’s All-Star Superman. It’s one of the finest takes on the Man of Steel ever published, and if James Gunn’s new Superman movie hit you the same way it did me, this one’s an absolute must-read.
There's a handful of other classics up for grabs as well, including Alan Moore's V for Vendetta, Watchmen, and The Killing Joke, all at mega low prices during the Prime Day sales.
