AEW star Darby Allin was seemingly left stranded on a highway in Tucson after his angry Uber driver kicked him out in the middle of an interview.
Darby Allin is one of the biggest daredevils in modern wrestling, performing stunts that few others would attempt, but he may have faced his biggest challenge yet in the form of a sleep-deprived Uber driver with little patience.
On February 26, Darby was in an Uber and doing an interview with the radio station Rock 102.1 KFMA on his phone.
However, things soon turned south when the driver lashed out at the AEW wrestler out of nowhere, and it got ugly.

As Darby was speaking to the radio hosts, the driver interrupted claiming it was rude for him to be on speaker phone during the trip.
“Is it cool if I finish?” the wrestler asked, trying to compromise, but the driver wasn’t having any of it.
“Look man, I’ve been driving since 5AM. I’m tired. Can you just put the phone up? It’s a little rude.”
Despite the radio hosts trying to come to Allin’s aid, accusing the driver of “one star behavior,” he shut them down.
“I don’t care, I make like $15 an hour. Is this your AA sponsor or something?” the driver asked the straight edge wrestler.
Eventually, the fed-up driver decided to just kick Allin out, even though, as the AEW star observed, they were in the middle of a highway.
“Get out of my car!” he screamed, leaving the wrestler in the middle of nowhere.
KFMA addressed the incident on Facebook, explaining that the whole incident happened without warning, completely out of nowhere.
“Honestly… if you know Darby, this somehow makes perfect sense. Wrestling interviews never go the way you expect,” they said.
Given the fact Darby is a wrestler, there is a chance this whole incident was scripted, but he hasn’t given any indication of such, captioning the clip on his Instagram stories as “kicked out of Uber mid-interview.”
Fans have been mixed on the incident, with some convinced it was a skit while others believed it was real.
“Bro, lucky Darby is chill because if that was me, buddy Uber information would somehow leak online,” one commented.
“I hope this is a skit. Otherwise, that driver is crazy,” another remarked.
This wouldn’t be the first time a ride-sharing driver has gone viral for causing a fuss, either. In 2023, an Uber driver threatened a TikToker out of his car and left him stuck in a snowstorm.
