Another Grand Tour: Inside Estella’s White Castle

In my last blog post I shared a tour of Queen Eclipse from The Kingdom of Serenity’s royal castle tour as I had finished renovating her castle. After finishing work on her celestial castle I began to renovate and work on where Princess Estella is currently residing.

Estella lives in the southern eastern side of Serenity where it’s completely isolated from the rest of the residents of Serenity though Eclipse’s castle isn’t too far away. The castle has an angelic white appearance exterior hence it’s name, The White Castle.

Estella moved into this castle when her late father, King Orion, had succumbed to his illness. The castle was originally owned by him before his demise. This castle has 5 lavish rooms and was used as the main castle of Serenity until the celestial castle was built just before Eclipse’s reign. It has a foyer, a greenhouse, a royal concert hall, a grand bedroom and a drawing room.

Eclipse’s castle is known as Serenity’s “Celestial Castle” whereas Orion’s (now owned by Estella after his recent passing) castle is known as “The White Castle”. I refer to both castles as their names and who owns them from time to time to avoid a bit of confusion to new readers. 🙂

As mentioned earlier, the castle has an angelic white exterior— hence it’s name, “The White Castle”. It looks incredibly beautiful at night.

The foyer for Estella’s castle just serves as a standard foyer where you can access the royal greenhouse, the royal concert hall, the drawing room and the grand bedroom. There are a few royal guards that assigned to their posts in the foyer and patrol everyday to keep Estella and any visiting residents safe.

Upstairs leads to the grand bedroom. It was formally Orion’s bedroom but is now Estella’s grand bedroom. It is extremely similar to Eclipse’s bedroom in the celestial castle.

Despite her bedroom being similar to her mother’s, there are several noticeable differences. She has gyroids that sing lullabies to her to help her fall asleep at night as she has struggles with insomnia due to grief of her recent father’s passing. She has a telescope next to her bed to look at stars as she is in love with astrology. There is also a broken post in the bedroom which is metaphoric for her father and her feeling broken.

There’s also a CD player in her bedroom that’s playing stale cupcakes, I feel like this song from KK is incredibly sad so I wanted it to be playing in her bedroom and throughout her castle. Casablanca lilies also make an appearance decorated around Estella’s castle— this is going to be a theme throughout Serenity if you couldn’t guess already.

I also put Wisp’s magical lamp from the AC:NL Welcome Amiibo update in her bedroom. Wisp is a ghost so it’s up to you how you interpret that. 😛

The back room leads the castle’s royal greenhouse. This room isn’t actually finished, the reason for this being that I don’t have another mannequin currently unlocked for Estella yet. The plan for this room is to have two mannequins in the centre of the room as “statues” to represent Queen Eclipse and King Orion. So as a placeholder I’ve just put an artwork statue in here to fill the empty space in the meantime.

The royal greenhouse has a lot of different plants and flowers. Residents of Serenity are welcome anytime to visit the royal greenhouse whenever they’d like. 🙂

There’s several benches surrounding the heart of the room where visitors can rest whilst admiring the flora growing inside the greenhouse.

Estella spends a lot of time in here nurturing her father’s plants since his recent passing.

Inside the left wing of the white castle is the royal drawing room. This room is used to entertain patrons of Serenity or is used for private gatherings for the royal family of Serenity. Inside of the royal drawing room is a large amount of bookcases, a warm welcoming fireplace, decorative plate armour and a radio. Residents of Serenity are not allowed to enter the drawing room unless they are invited by the royal family of Serenity or a patron of Serenity. Guests and residents are free to enter the drawing room during tourist tours however. 🙂

There’s two version of the royal drawing room as I can’t decide which wallpaper fits the room better. >_< The top photos have the lunar horizon wallpaper which fits the room better in my opinion but the below photos use the regal wallpaper which fits in with the “English drawing room” vibe better.

The right wing of the castle is Serenity’s royal concert hall. The concert hall plays beautiful live orchestra music by talented musicians from around the globe. Patrons are encouraged to attend here with their friends and family when visiting Serenity. 🙂
