Apple iPad 11-inch (A16)
The baseline iPad is the on most people should get. It’s the cheapest. And while it’s not as powerful as the others, it has plenty of power to handle normal tablet computing tasks. It’s the iPad 95% of people should get. If you like smaller form factors, get the Mini instead. If you need more power, like for coding, video editing, and other power-hungry tasks, look at the Air or Pro models.

Apple iPad Air (M3)
The iPad Air comes in two sizes: 11 inches and 13 inches. Instead of running on one of Apple’s phone and tablet chips, it actually runs on the M3, which was designed for Macs. So this is basically as powerful as last year’s MacBook Air, which is really something. Most people wouldn’t need that much power in their tablet, but if you do, you’d know it.
Apple iPad Pro (M4)
If you absolutely, positively must have the most powerful tablet on the market, then this is it. Like the Air above, it comes in two sizes: large and extra-large. It’s also equipped with the latest MacBook Air chip, the M4. It packs plenty of power to handle anything you can throw at it. But it’s also pricy. Thankfully, both models are on sale for at least $100 off.
