Arc Raiders players have been desperate for Trigger Nades to be given a substantial nerf, and the devs have finally responded to the calls.
Although your weapons are your most important tool in Arc Radiers, there is plenty of other equipment that helps you return safely to Speranza. This includes a large selection of explosives, from powerful Showstoppers to Smoke Grenades that let you escape unseen.
But one of the most overpowered since launch has been Trigger Nades, which can be stuck to any surface and detonated remotely. They’ve become a vital part of any high-skill player’s loadout, as they’re ideal for setting traps for other raiders while you loot locked rooms or camp the extraction points.
In fact, they’re used so often that many fans have been posting on social media urging Embark Studios to nerf them.
Arc Raiders devs confirm Trigger Nade nerf
“They really need to NERF trigger nades …. S**t is so unfair lmao. Like add a delay or something,” posted YouTuber Xen Shady. “You literally don’t need to use a gun just a trigger nades and you can kill every single person in the lobby.”
“EMBARK STUDIOS I AM BEGGING FOR YOU TO NERF THE TRIGGER GRENADES,” posted another frustrated player.
Now, the devs have finally responded, confirming that some adjustments are in the works.
“The team’s looking into some nerfs, including trigger nades, keep an eye on #game-announcements for updates,” said one of the game’s Community Managers in the official Arc Raiders Discord channel.
At the time of writing, the devs haven’t shared any details on what the nerf will entail. Some players have called for a delay between hitting the switch and the detonation in order to make them more challenging to use, while others simply want a damage reduction.
It also hasn’t been confirmed when the nerf will roll out, but fans can expect to see it mentioned in the patch notes for an update in the not-too-distant future.
