Arc Raiders players have discovered two more overpowered exploits, less than a day after the infamous duplication glitch was patched out of the game.
The first allows you to repair any weapon without needing to scavenge the resources required, which can often be hard to come by, especially on higher-tier guns like the Bobcat or Tempest.
Simply equip a fully repaired gun in the first weapon slot and a broken one in the second, then swap their positions twice in quick succession before dropping the damaged gun and picking it up again. You’ll find that the second weapon now has exactly the same damage as the first.
Doing this essentially duplicates the durability of the first gun and applies it to the other. There’s also no limit on how often it can be done, so you could enter a run with all of your damaged weapons and one that is fully-repaired, and leave with a completely fixed arsenal.
New Arc Raiders exploit gives players ridiculous amounts of ammo
But that’s not all, after this exploit started to spread through the community, it was also found that it has another effect that’s even more powerful.
If you do the exact same trick and equip a weapon in the first slot with a large ammo capacity, such as a Torrente with Extended Mags, you can also apply that to another weapon. This means you can have a Ferro or Anvil, which is usually single-shot, that can fire over 100 shots before needing to reload.
It can also be done on meta picks like the Bobcat SMG or Vulcano Shotgun, allowing you to rein down tons of shots on rival raiders without giving them a breather.
However, while both of these glitches are incredibly useful, it’s probably best to avoid using them. After the duplication glitch was patched on February 10, Embark Studios promised to “take action” against those who had used it to gain an advantage.
So, while it might be tempting to start repairing your guns for free or giving yourself absurdly big magazines, you might find yourself on the receiving end of a ban if you do.
