Arc Raiders players have started abusing an exploit that makes the first gun you unlock a fast-killing beast that’s dominating PvP fights.
There are plenty of different weapons in Arc Radiers, all of which have their own benefits and playstyles. Naturally, some are stronger and more viable than others, especially in player versus player battles, where one misplaced shot can end your run.
A gun that has been taken for granted by many raiders is the Kettle, the semi-auto rifle that is the first weapon you’re introduced to.
It’s always been a bit of an underrated gem, but a new exploit has made it comfortably the best weapon in the entire game.
Macro Kettle exploit is dominating Arc Raiders
The trick in question is only available to PC players, as it requires you to use a macro on your mouse to allow one click to perform multiple actions quickly. Doing this makes the Kettle fully automatic, meaning you can unload your magazine with a single click instead of relying on your trigger finger.
While not exactly the best gun in Arc Raiders, the rifle has always had a solid damage output, but this is balanced out by the semi-auto fire rate, low bullet velocity, and long reload animation. However, by removing the fire rate limitation, it’s able to melt through enemy players in the blink of an eye.
Since being discovered, social media has been flooded with posts complaining about the method. Reddit user ‘ContextEFT’ shared a video of them being killed in “under half a second” despite using a Medium Shield, while ‘Gigameister’ urged the devs to “fix the Kettle macro issue and start punishing abusers.”
While this isn’t technically the same as using cheats like wall hacks, it’s undoubtedly giving an unfair advantage to those who use it, especially since controller players have no hope of using it for themselves.
