Arc Raiders players have discovered a ceiling glitch that lets them break out of Stella Montis to earn easy kills.
Although Arc Raiders has enjoyed a successful launch, selling over 12 million copies and receiving glowing reviews along the way. However, one of the biggest issues plaguing the extraction shooter has been the rise of players cheating and using exploits.
Embark Studios has started to crack down on the issue by permanently banning those using hacks, but fans are still running into enemies using dark arts.
On Stella Montis, the newest and most challenging map, some are even using a trick to get out of the map and pick off confused raiders.
Stella Montis exploit has Arc Raiders players fighting in the ceiling
The ceiling glitch requires you to head into the corner of a room and climb onto an object that puts you close to the ceiling. Then, moving towards the wall, jumping, and changing direction in the correct order brings up the ‘Fix Player’ prompt, which glitches your character through the scenery.
You’ll then find yourself outside the confines of the map, giving you the freedom to roam around on the ceiling and along vents without worrying about enemy raiders or the Arc. Worst of all, you can even shoot through the roof to take out teams below you, who are left wondering what on earth just happened.
This only works on Stella Montis, which takes place almost exclusively indoors, as the rest of the maps are set outside.
Since it was discovered, fans have been urging Embark Studios to release a fix. But until then, some brave raiders have been trying to combat it themselves.
In a clip from X user ‘aimkey,’ they and their squad spotted a team using this exploit to grief other teams, so they also escaped the map and hunted them down. “Since Embark can’t fix ceiling glitches, we had to take matters into our own hands.”
