Embark Studios has rolled out a change to the map condition schedule in Arc Raiders, finally allowing those who missed out to access the Bird City event.

When the Headwinds update arrived in Arc Raiders on January 27, one of the biggest additions was the new Bird City event taking place in Buried City. This special map condition gave fans the oppertunity to loot rare Rubber Ducks, which can then be sold for profit or added to your collection.

Like all map events, it worked on a set rotation every day and was only live for an hour at a time. However, due to the locked timings, players in many time zones couldn’t play it all, as in some regions it always fell late at night or during the working day.

Ever since, the community has been urging the devs to shake up the schedule to make it more accessible, and they’ve finally answered the call.

Arc Raiders devs confirm event schedule shake-up

On January 2, all events mysteriously vanished from Arc Raiders before returning a few hours later. Players quickly began to speculate that this was due to a change in the events schedule, although nothing was said right away.

Then, the following morning, Community Lead ‘Ossen’ shared an update in the official Discord channel confirming that this was the case.

“Raiders! Last night there was an issue with map condiitons shedule,” she wrote. “We just pushed an update enabling this week’s schedule while also increasing the frequency of Bird City.”

Using the MetaForge event tracker, we can see that there are now five instances of the Bird City condition in a day, up from the original three. The times are also much more reasonable, as, for example, in the UK, it now appears at 6 pm and 10 pm, giving players in that region more opportunities to try it out.

Ossen also confirmed that they will continue to adjust the timings of all events so that everyone has a chance of seeing them.

“We will keep revising and try to find a schedule for all conditions so that all time zones get a chance to play,” she added.
