Twitch star Asmongold wants to do his own special version of a subathon, and viewers think it could bankrupt his biggest critics.
Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 crossed absurd new territory as the streamer became the first creator in history to hit 1M subscribers, crushing his previous world record.
While beating Cenat’s record may not be possible in the traditional sense, Asmongold has hatched an idea to weaponize his haters in what he’s calling a “reverse” subathon.
The idea could prove to be his most lucrative yet and it doesn’t even involve making content. In fact, it’s quite the opposite.
Asmongold’s reverse subathon dubbed an “infinite money glitch”
In response to a viral post criticizing his decision to return to streaming following the death of his father, Asmongold revealed his concept.
“I’ve considered doing a reverse subathon, where I’m offline and people can sub in order for me to stay offline for even longer,” the creator revealed.
Fans were instantly drawn to the idea, believing it would “bankrupt” his haters.
“People that hate you would pay you to stay offline. F**king genius,” a fan replied.
“Infinite money glitch unlocked,” someone else chimed in.
Another pointed out that YouTuber ‘shoe0nhead’ has “buy my silence” as a Patreon option where users can literally spend $50,000 to get her to “shut the f**k up” for a full month.
It remains to be seen if Asmongold goes ahead with this dynamic idea or how much money he’d make if he does, but it could prove to be quite profitable, considering how polarizing some of his takes can be.
