Asmongold thinks he was “beginning to evolve” by not showering for three months

Twitch star Asmongold isn’t exactly known for his stellar hygiene, but the streamer still managed to shock fans by revealing he only changed his pillowcase twice in his entire life and was “evolving” by not showering.

Throughout his streaming career, Asmongold’s room has become a meme for being an out-of-control mess that he seldom ever cleans.

Asmongold’s room isn’t the only biohazard, though. In 2024, he finally decided to clean his entire house after admitting it had become so bad, dead animals were inside.

Sure enough, he ended up finding a dead rat. Unsurprising, considering he previously used a dead rat as an “alarm clock” because the sun would begin cooking the corpse, causing it to smell, and the stench would wake him up.

Fast forward a year later, and Asmongold once again grossed out fans after revealing details about his pillowcase.

Asmongold only changed his pillowcase for his girlfriend

During a broadcast, the streamer explained that while he once had pretty bad acne, he “never” has it anymore, even though he doesn’t wash his pillowcase.

“I change my pillowcases, I’ve done it before. It’s happened, I think twice,” he said. “One time I had a girlfriend move in and she said, ‘you need to change your pillowcases,’ and that was in 2019.”

According to the 35-year-old, the only other time he changed it was four years later in 2023, and he hasn’t done so since.

He added that he at one point, he didn’t shower for nearly three months and believed at that point, his skin was the healthiest it had ever been.

In fact, he noted that he’s been showering far more often lately, but called it “one of the worst decisions” he made in his whole life, because by not showering, he was “beginning to evolve” and was growing an “exoskeleton.”

The streamer made a Pokemon comparison, remarking how he was like a Geodude evolving into a Graveler.

“I stopped getting hot and I stopped getting cold,” he explained. “After I didn’t shower, I didn’t feel that way anymore, because of a self-regulating apparatus.”
