Battlefield 6 players are being prompted to delete the game’s campaign after completing it as a means of freeing up valuable storage space.

After finishing the nine-mission story and seeing the credits roll, players are met with a message reminding them that they have the option to uninstall the game’s campaign portion entirely.

While file size varies depending on the platform, Battlefield 6’s campaign comes in at around 15 GB, requiring additional space if users opt to install an HD texture pack.

As games, especially those in the AAA space, grow in size and hog more and more hard drive space, granting players a convenient option has gone down a storm with fans.

Battlefield 6 players welcome convenience

An October 11 X/Twitter post from one user outlining the inclusion of an uninstall prompt has since gone viral, prompting numerous replies praising the convenience and labelling it “considerate,” as well as “respectful as f**k.”

Considering campaigns in competitive shooters are a secondary draw, the integration makes sense, especially when hard drives included in base versions of leading consoles have barely increased to accommodate growing game sizes.

While not as enormous as Call of Duty’s infamous 100 GB-plus install size – encompassing each new series entry, Warzone, and Zombies – Battlefield 6 still stretches to around 70 GB in total.
