The Battlefield 6 devs have praised the game’s anti-cheat system, explaining that they’re “really encouraged” by Javelin’s performance during the Open Beta.

Anti-cheat has been one of the hottest topics coming out of the Battlefield 6 Open Beta. Despite some reports that cheaters had found their way into the game, the Javelin system blocked over 300,000 attempts in the first weekend alone.

BF6 also forces PC players to enable Secure Boot as part of its quest to block anybody using suspicious software from getting in. We may have only seen it in action for a couple of weeks, but the devs are optimistic that they’re in a great spot for launch.

BF6 devs reassure players that anti-cheat is a top priority

In an interview with CharlieIntel, Executive Producer Christian Grass reassured fans that keeping cheaters out remains a top priority for the team, and that early signs are very positive.

“[Anti-cheat] is top of mind for us; it’s super important. We were really encouraged by what we saw the system perform over the last weekend,” he explained.

He went on to emphasize just how much work is going into this, as they look to ensure that they deal with the problem as effectively as possible.

“As I’m sure you’ve seen, we’re requiring Secure Boot to be on, like a lot of other games do as well, to make sure that we can give ourselves the best possible anti-cheat systems,” Grass continued. “Tons of effort, tons of focus, top of mind. It’s very, very important for us to do this well.”
