Battlefield 6’s Open Beta has launched into early access, but players are having to wait to get in, being met with server queues of over 270,000 in some cases.
The beta went live at 1 AM PT on August 7, and the devs addressed the server queue issue a couple of minutes before.
“Since this is Battlefield’s biggest Open Beta ever, we’re putting in the work to ensure that players have the best possible experience and servers remain stable,” tweeted the Battlefield Comms account. “To support this, we will use queues to protect the player experience but expect this impact to be minimal.”
“You may encounter this during high peak moments, such as the start of servers going live. The team is working constantly to reduce any queue that takes place. Thank you for your continued excitement and patience.”
Battlefield 6 devs increase server capacity
The devs provided another update at 2 AM PT, one hour after the beta went live, saying they’ve increased the server capacity.
“The team is now working on a substantial increase in server capacity, which will reduce your time in the queue. Thank you for your continued patience as we work to get as many of you into the game as soon as possible,” they said.
The length of the server queue varies from player to player. When I launched the game at 1 AM PT, it was at 179,660, and almost an hour later, I’m in the game.
However, some players now launching the game are upward of 270,000, but stick with it, as more and more players are starting to get into the game. Just don’t restart the game for any reason once you’re in!
