An issue from the Battlefield 6 beta has made it into the full launch, and it’s making it seem like players are dying in the blink of an eye through no fault of their own.

During the Open Beta, one of the biggest talking points was netcode and desync issues, meaning that what two players see on their screens might be slightly different. For example, an enemy might have you in their sights when, from your point of view, he hasn’t even appeared from around the corner yet.

It also affects hit registration, so it might appear that shots that are clearly on target miss. It can also look like you’re landing multiple shots with no success, while an enemy can melt you in no time.

This was improved in the day one update, but days after BF6 officially released, players are reporting that it’s still causing problems in many matches.

Netcode issues are ruining Battlefield 6 matches

Reddit user ‘ShaunImSorry’ shared a clip of desync in action, showing multiple fights where the TTK looked ridiculously fast, giving them no time to react before being sent to the redeploy screen.

The issue had the OP questioning his own ability, before plenty of other players confirmed that it was a netcode problem and reported that they had faced similar issues.

“It’s desync, same issue in the beta,” said one reply. “Takes forever to kill players and you get hit with an entire mag of bullets in 1 sec. They said in the day 1 patch they addressed it but it’s still pretty common.”

“It’s f**king netcode. People see you and start shooting before you even see them on your screen,” added another.

“Desync / hitreg are big problems right now,” wrote a third. “Dying around corners, all shots landing at once, shots not registering server-side. It’s all a mess tbh.”
