DICE have revealed all of the content arriving in Battlefield 6’s Season 2 update, including the new maps, weapons, vehicles, and LTMs.

Like Season 1, the update will be split into three phases, bringing new content into the game every month. The first phase, called Extreme Measures, arrives at the start of Battlefield 6 Season 2 on February 17.

Extreme Measures (February 17)

Here, Battlefield 6 gets the Contaminated map, a large playspace set in the German mountains, with tank, helicopter, and other vehicle combat.

Alongside the new map, the VL-7 Strike LTM arrives. Here, there’s hallucinogenic smoke that causes visual and auditory hallucinations, but they can be avoided by equipping a gas mask.

Of course, there are new weapons as well, and Season 2’s launch brings the GRT-CPS DMR, VCR-2 Assault Rifle, and M121 A2 Machine Gun, alongside the HTI-Mk2 Gadget and 9K38 IGLA Launcher.

It also brings back the AH-6 Little Bird Helicopter, allowing skilled pilots to wreak havoc across several maps.

Nightfall (March 17)

The Nightfall update brings Hagental Base, a close-quarter infantry map set in an underground base just outside of Contaminated.

Its Nightfall LTM turns out all the lights, where players will need to use night vision goggles or flashlights to navigate its pitch-black corridors.

You’ll also be able to unlock the GZ3A1 SMG and VZ. 61 Sidearm as part of the update.

Hunter / Prey (April 14)

Finally, the Hunter / Prey phase brings Operation Augur, a mode inspired by the fan-favorite Operations mode from Battlefield 1. Here, players will fight across both Contaminated and Hagental Base. If the attackers win on the first map, it moves on to the second.

It also brings the LTV vehicle and Ripper 14” Machete Melee weapon.
