Battlefield 6 players on console turning off crossplay to avoid mouse and keyboard users on PC have criticized the feature for being too limited, with the former saying doing so left them stuck in bot-filled matches.

Battlefield 6 has crossplay available; however, EA confirmed before the game’s release that console-only crossplay wouldn’t be available. PC, PlayStation, and Xbox users can all play together, but no option exists to allow just the latter two to pair off.

The result, as reported by players on social media, is lobbies predominantly filled with bots rather than other players.

Console players say lobbies are full of bots

Frustrated fans have shared clips and screenshots showing matches filled with bots instead of real players on Reddit and elsewhere:

Many claimed this happened whenever they disabled crossplay, suggesting that active player counts were too low to support platform-only matchmaking. Considering the massive player counts recorded for PC on Steam likely reflect similar numbers on console, this seems unlikely.

Whatever the cause and how widespread the issue is, the lack of console-only crossplay has spurred discourse around PC players using M&KB having an unfair advantage over gamepad users.
