Player 152, Monika, and Player 173, Jim, might not have won the $5 million in Beast Games, but they did win each other’s hearts during their time on the show – and the Season 2 champion has now confirmed a major milestone they just crossed.

The finale of MrBeast’s competition series landed on Prime Video this week, seeing six remaining players take part in a series of challenges in the hopes of winning the life-changing cash prize.

In the end, Player 167, Tyler Lucas, came out on top, winning the money alongside the $100,000 he bagged earlier on in Beast Games Season 2 (although he’s being smart about not spending it for the time being).

Dexerto caught up with Tyler following the big reveal, where he spoke about his time on the show while also giving updates on his fellow competitors.

Beast Games Season 2 players Jim & Monika mark relationship milestone

Tyler told us that he’s remained in touch with Jim and Monika, and not only are they still in a relationship, but they’ve recently moved in together.

The couple met and fell in love while taking part in Beast Games Season 2, culminating in an (unofficial) wedding that took place in Beast City.

Since the show was shot between June and August 2025, viewers at home had questions about whether the pair’s relationship lasted, with the couple later confirming that it did on social media.

Tyler elaborated on this, stating, “ I love them. They’re awesome people. They’re funny, they’re good to be around, and I’m happy for them. They’re still together to this day. They moved in with each other.

“I’m happy for how things turned out for them, and I have nothing bad to say about them. They always know how to make people laugh, Jim’s a funny guy.”

As well as finding love on the show, Jim and Monika didn’t walk away empty handed. Through various bribes including the double-or-nothing gold coin, Monika bagged a cool $510,000, while Jim won $137,547 in total.

Tyler found it “tough” to watch runner-up Cory

Tyler, who won $5.1 million overall, also spoke about runner-up Cory Sims, aka Player 191, saying it was difficult to watch the finale.

In that finale, it was down to Tyler, Cory, and Player 195 (Brett), and to determine the two finalists, MrBeast pulled out one more bribe.

They all had their hands on a button, with their screens showing a figure of money that steadily climbed. When it hit the $1 million mark, Brett pressed his button first. With everything else he’d won over the course of Beast Games Season 2, that left him with $1,193,000.

Cory, on the other hand, didn’t take any big bribes or cuts of cash throughout the series, leaving him with the lowest amount of all the finalists. This was especially difficult for Tyler knowing that Cory has a wife and three children at home.

“ We talk often. Corey is one of the best guys I know. He’s truly a humble guy. He’s so kind and caring. No one can say any bad words about Corey,” Tyler explained.

“It was bittersweet to be standing on the money winning, knowing I took that opportunity from him because he’s such a great guy. He truly deserves the world and more, so it was definitely a tough moment.”

Tyler said there were “all the emotions and the excitement of winning,” but then seeing his close friend and “knowing that you took that opportunity from him, it was tough.”

Having watched the Beast Games Season 2 finale twice, it was “tough to watch back too,” Tyler continued.

“It definitely chokes me up just seeing how he was. It’s still tough for me too, knowing that I took that opportunity from his family.”

After the release of the finale, fans are hoping Cory gets a second chance by being asked back for Beast Games Season 3 – time will tell if this happens. If the opportunity arises for Tyler to return and help someone else win, he’s totally game.

“It would just be an awesome opportunity to go back for Season 3, see what that season is about, and then hopefully just pay it forward like Jeff did with me and try to help someone else win the show,” Tyler said.

“If that opportunity presents itself, I’ll definitely jump on it. If not, no worries. I’m still thankful for my experience and I owe the world and then some to the Beast team.”
