Deadlock has a brand new character, the adorable and rather powerful Rem. However, Rem is only as powerful as the player who builds him. So, here’s the best build.

Deadlocks Old Gods, New Blood update released on January 23 and promised a variety of new characters along with it, each releasing once a week for the next three weeks. Well, the first is Rem, and given that the playercount flew to just under 100k when he was added, it’s safe to say he’s been pretty popular among players.

However, just like Infernus, Warden, Vindicta, and the rest of the characters, building and perfecting Rem isn’t easy to do. So, here’s the best Rem build in Deadlock to ensure you’re playing at your best.

How to play Rem

Rem’s a pretty unique hero who’s relatively easy to perfect, but extremely weak in close-range combat. As such, you’ll want to pay him tactically, stealing Sinner’s Sacrifices and supporting your allies without being seen, as you’ll be easily targeted.

To thrive as Rem, you want to purchase your items carefully and focus on support. Heal your allies, watch them for any distress, and keep shields on the weaker of your team. If you remain supportive, you’ll succeed with ease, just don’t get into close combat.

Is Rem good in Deadlock?

Rem is an alright character in Deadlock, but isn’t the top tier, ranking at D in our character tier list.

Despite the ranking, he’s a good saboteur and has great map presence, especially when it comes to protecting the team. However, while he may be a powerful support, his weaknesses make him a bad mobility character and one that can’t survive in direct combat, meaning you have a blatant weakness the enemy will try to exploit.

Regardless, he has a high skill floor and can be easy to survive with, as long as you stay hidden.
