Lego is set to bring one of its biggest-ever sets in 2026, adding Minas Tirith, the capital city of Gondor from Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Gondor’s capital was featured briefly in The Fellowship of the Ring and the extended edition of The Two Towers before being the main setting in The Return of the King. The white city consists of seven ringed levels with a rocky cliff jutting down its center.
According to reliable leaker ‘Brick Tap,’ Lego will be expanding its Lord of the Rings line in 2026, which includes a Minas Tirith set.
On December 21, 2025, Brick Tap said Lego Icons Minas Tirith is expected to arrive on June 1, 2026, and will cost around $600-650 USD. This is around the price you’d expect for similarly-sized licensed sets.
It’ll be made up of 8,278 pieces and is said to include minifigures of Gandalf the White, King Aragorn, Pippin, Denethor, Faramir, four Gondor soldiers, and Shadowfax. It will also include a microscale model of the city.
Not only would it be the biggest Lego LotR set, but it would also place it as the sixth biggest Lego set ever made (in terms of pieces):
- LEGO Art World Map (11,695 pieces)
- LEGO Icons Eiffel Tower (10,001 pieces)
- LEGO Icons Titanic (9,090 pieces)
- LEGO Colosseum (9,036 pieces)
- LEGO Star Wars Death Star (9,023 pieces)
- LEGO Icons – Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith (8,278 pieces)
- UCS LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon (7,541)
- LEGO Star Wars AT-AT (6,785 pieces)
- LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest (6,187 pieces)
- LEGO Icons – The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell (6,167 pieces)
In terms of large Lord of the Rings sets, Minas Tirith would join 2023’s Rivendell, 2024’s Barad-dûr, and 2025’s The Shire. But as Brick Tap said, you can expect more Lego LotR throughout 2026.
