There’s an underrated LMG in Black Ops 6 that’s flying completely under the radar, despite the fact that it’s just as strong, if not stronger, than many meta Assault Rifles.
The Black Ops 6 meta is always changing and evolving, but one thing that’s always true is that most players will gravitate towards Assault Rifles and SMGs. It makes sense, as these are the most consistently strong in multiplayer, but that means plenty of other great options get overlooked.
One such case is the PML 5.56, which was introduced in the Season 5 update. Despite being a brand-new gun to try out, most players have stuck to old favorites like the Krig C or the other new Assault Rifle, the ABR A1.
However, it might be time to give it a try, as it’s actually an incredibly powerful choice in the right hands.
PML 5.56 is underrated Black Ops 6 weapon you need to use
Call of Duty expert WhosImmortal highlighted the PML 5.56 in a video, where he named it one of the 10 best guns in Black Ops 6 right now. He explained that it’s got one of the “best TTKs” in the game, and it “actually melts” at close to mid-range.
The downside is that, as an LMG, it does come with some pretty intense recoil to contend with. Luckily, a lot of that can be treated with the right combination of attachments, making it feel more like a fast-killing Assault Rifle.
Check out WhosImmortal’s best loadout for the PML 5.56 below:
- Optic: Otero Red Dot Sight
- Muzzle: Compensator
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
- Magazine: Fast Mag 1
- Fire Mods: Recoil Springs
With this build, the LMG is much easier to use, especially up to around 50 meters, where it’s most effective. There’s definitely still some recoil there that you’ll have to manage, but the streamer urged players to take the time to learn it.
“This is a really fun LMG, but it does take some time getting used to with that recoil,” he said in the video. “It’s a little bit jarring at first, then you get used to it. You’re going to fry.”
