Black Ops 6’s “embarrasing” new HDR bundle is the final straw for many players

A new HDR Blueprint has dropped on the Black Ops 6 store, and the “embarrassing” cosmetic is the “final straw” for many players.

Call of Duty‘s move towards weirder and more colorful cosmetics has been extremely divisive. While some love having the likes of Beavis and Butt-Head or the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles running around the map, others miss the more grounded look of older games.

The debate is popping up more and more often during Black Ops 6, and it’s happened again with the release of the new Seaborne Mastercraft bundle.

The bundle contains a variety of nautical-themed items, including the Sea Rogue skin for Woods, which transforms him into an octopus. It also comes with the Nautiloid Blueprint for the HDR Sniper Rifle, which has brought plenty of heat from the community.

When Reddit user ‘KlemTcen’ shared an image of the sniper, plenty of players were quick to call out the outlandish skin.

“Oh boy another embarrassing bundle for this dumpster fire of a game can’t wait to not waste money on this garbage lol,” said one reply, before another added: “Ngl this s**t genuinely looks stupid.

“Absolutely hideous, black ops 6 and its buffet of cringe was the final straw for me with this franchise,” wrote another.

Battlefield 6 is due to arrive later this year and is expected to give CoD some much-needed competition, and many players also mentioned moving over to the rival due to the increased number of bundles.

“It’s time to ditch COD for good. Battlefield 6 is going to stomp it,” wrote one player, while another agreed: “BF6 is looking phenomenal so far though, I hope it forces CoD to seriously reevaluate its current position.”
