While the Black Ops 7 beta is off to a strong start, with players loving the advanced omnimovement and map layout, players haven’t been as impressed with weapon progression speed, time-to-kill, and the automatic doors. The devs have assured players they’re aware and revealed how they plan to address them.
Treyarch have detailed upcoming changes to the maps’ doors, progression, and TTK, as well as new content they’ve added and bug fixes they’ve already made.

Upcoming beta changes
Treyarch also detailed changes you can expect to see in the coming days:
- Weapon balance pass to “adjust TTK and ensure all weapons available in the Beta are competitive within both their class and their intended role”
- Automatic door changes:
- Forcing specific automatic doors to remain open from the start of the match.
- Increasing how long automatic doors remain open before they close.
- Increasing the distance a player needs to be from the door before it will automatically open.
- Players can still shoot automatic doors to open them.
- Weapon XP, Spawns & bug fixes (October 4):
- Forcing specific automatic doors to remain open from the start of the match.
- Increasing how long automatic doors remain open before they close.
- Increasing the distance a player needs to be from the door before it will automatically open.
- Players can still shoot automatic doors to open them.
Doors have been a particularly sore spot for the player base, and some want to see them removed from the maps entirely. Treyarch are considering this, potentially reducing the number of doors and adding the option to disable them in competitive.
