Treyarch’s Matt Scronce has responded to concerns about the speed of weapon leveling in Black Ops 7 now that fans have had a glimpse at multiplayer.
Whenever a new Call of Duty is on the horizon, there a few stops along the road that fans eagerly await. The first trailer is always a big one, as is the campaign and multiplayer reveals. Though, Call of Duty Next and the first beta weekend are the most important.
Next, an event where CoD content creators get together to show off the new game, happened this year on September 30. Fans eagerly awaiting Black Ops 7 got to see some of the new multiplayer maps, guns, modes, and even a bit of Zombies and Warzone too.
Naturally, the excitement has only grown for some fans, while others have picked up on issues that they want to see addressed before the game goes live.
Treyarch address weapon leveling speed worries in Black Ops 7
One of the big ones centred around weapon leveling and the speed of unlocks. Even though CoD Net and the upcoming beta will limit access to guns and equipment, fans suggested things still look too slow.
“The weapon leveling is a little concerning in BO7 from what we’re seeing at COD NEXT. I watched @HusKerrs get 40 kills with a shotty and it went from level 1 to 6 or 7,” streamer Marksman pointed out, asking Treyarch’s Matt Scronce for an answer.
“I wouldn’t worry too much about leveling at the moment as we always dial it in differently for Next, Beta, and then launch,” the design director replied.
The speed of weapon leveling isn’t the only complaint to come out of the CoD Next event. The Gravemaker Scorestreak has also caused some concerns as it one-shots players through walls.
Additionally, Warzone streamers have voiced their concern with the battle royale, claiming it looks “rough” so far.
