Call of Duty fans have questioned Treyarch over bringing back a feature from previous games in the form of a perk in Black Ops 7.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is the next game to shake up things for Call of Duty fans, with wall bouncing – not to be confused with Black Ops 3’s wall running – joining the party in multiplayer, as well as new game modes like Overload.

Fans had the chance to experience a few of these new changes in the open beta period, with players also urging Treyarch to address a few things before release. This included Dexerity being a normal feature instead of just being a perk, and switching up a few perks to different categories.

The Black Ops 7 devs have listened to those requests, making a number of adjustments to perks ahead of the full release. However, one big question still lingers.

CoD fans want perk to go back to being normal feature

Players have questioned why Looper, a perk that allows you to re-earn your scorestreaks, has been kept as it is, rather than being reverted back to a normal in-game feature.

“Why make re-earning Scorestreaks in the same life a perk? It worked perfectly fine when it was a default feature,” one fan, Wxgwan, asked.

“I might be in the minority here, but I really don’t like looping streaks. For the higher-end perks, I don’t mind it as much, more so for UAV and Counter UAV,” one fan answered. “Using looping score streaks in past cods was entertaining but super frustrating if done to you,” another added.

“Yeah this should just be the default imo. I get that killstreak spam can be oppressive, but you could also just shoot said streaks down,” another said.

Other fans argued, claiming that looping streaks has been “disastrous” in previous Call of Duty titles. “It’s fine as a perk, it’s a very strong perk,” another chimed in.
