A British passenger miraculously walked away from a plane crash in India that reportedly left no other survivors. He only sustained minor injuries.
On Thursday, June 12, an Air India plane on route to London, England, crashed just moments after takeoff. 242 people were on board the plane including crew members.
However, not everyone on the aircraft died. 40-year-old British man Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, who was flying back to the UK after visiting family in India, managed to stand up and walk away from the wreckage.

Speaking to Hindustan Times following the crash, Ramesh explained what happened: “30 seconds after take-off, there was a loud noise and then the plane crashed. It all happened so quickly.”
He didn’t make it through unscathed, receiving “impact injuries” on his chest, eyes, and feet.
“When I got up, there were bodies all around me, ” he added. “I was scared. I stood up and ran. There were pieces of the plane all around me. Someone grabbed hold of me and put me in an ambulance and brought me to the hospital.”
He said that he was traveling on the plane with his brother, Ajay, who was seated in a different row when they took off. However, as reported by The Guardian, Ahmedabad police commissioner, GS Malik, told the news agency ANI that there was only one survivor
Another relative of Malik, his brother Nayan Kumar Ramesh, spoke of his shock at finding out the news. “We were just shocked as soon as we heard it. I last spoke to him yesterday morning. We’re devastated, just devastated. He said, ‘I have no idea how I exited the plane’.”
