Fortnite’s next update is upon us, coming on June 18 and bringing plenty of exciting new features as part of its Festival season. However, its previously leaked headline act could be entirely different.
Fortnite is no stranger to a stellar festival event, bringing the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Metallica, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, and even Hatsune Miku to the game. These festivals allow players to watch concerts within the game, providing a way to see their favorite acts through their favorite game.
Before now, the leaked headliner was none other than electronic music producer and DJ Deadmau5. However, recently, some reliable leakers have been questioning their sources, suggesting the headliner could be Bruno Mars instead.
Fortnite Festival Icon rumored to be Bruno Mars
As revealed by renowned Fortnite leakers, Shiina and SamLeakss on X, it was explained that “Bruno Mars might be the next Festival Artist.” They revealed that the information was still unconfirmed with, both leakers purely working off rumors.
However, shortly after, Shiina posted to share that “the Bruno Mars rumor has been backed up by the admins of the FortniteLeaks discord server,” granting quite a bit of credibility to the leak and rumor, as many more leakers confirmed the news to be true.
This was only heightened by the subtle confirmation by Shiina, in which she revealed that it was “less than 6 hours until the Fortnite Bruno Mars announcement, almost confirming they believed the leak to be true and accurate.
On top of the post, equally as renowned leaker Hypex also shared that “Bruno Mars is now the rumored festival icon, not Deadmau5” proving this news is believed by multiple leakers.
Naturally, whether these leaks will come to fruition is yet to be seen. But the update and announcement are coming soon, on June 17, confirming whether it’ll be Deadmau5 or Bruno Mars as the headline act. So only time will tell whether fans have been hyped for the wrong act.
