Following the reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Activision has revealed that they are “committed” to bringing the FPS series to the Nintendo Switch 2.

On June 6, Black Ops 7 was revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase, giving players an early glimpse at the futuristic setting and the return of iconic characters. While there’s currently no release date locked in for its 2025 release, we know it will launch on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

However, with the Switch 2 now out in the wild, many fans will undoubtedly be wondering whether Black Ops 7 and future CoD titles will be making their way to Nintendo’s portable console. Well, Activision has now assured fans that they have not been forgotten.

CoD is coming to Switch 2

Speaking with GameSpot, a spokesperson for Activision said: “We’re committed to getting the franchise on Switch. Both teams are working on it. Will share details when ready.”

It’s also worth noting that Microsoft signed a 10-year deal with Nintendo for Call of Duty to release on Nintendo consoles.

Microsoft stated that the deal will bring CoD to Switch 2 “the same day as Xbox, with feature and content parity – so they can experience Call of Duty just as Xbox and PlayStation gamers enjoy Call of Duty.”

Nintendo consoles have featured CoD titles in the past, with World at War, Modern Warfare, and Black Ops releasing on the Nintendo Wii. However, they famously had missing features and lacked content that was present in PlayStation and Xbox versions.
