YouTube channel Call of Shame has announced it will abandon its gaming focus in favor of religious content, just days after Karl Jobst released a video criticizing the channel’s credibility.

For years, Call of Shame was known for exposing alleged cheaters in Call of Duty and other titles, producing hundreds of AI-narrated videos that claimed to provide evidence of hacking. The creator behind the account said the project was rooted in “fair debate” and showcasing receipts, but it also became a lightning rod for controversy over its accusations.

Karl Jobst, an Australian YouTuber best known for his investigative videos into the gaming world, published a detailed critique in September. His video challenged Call of Shame’s evidence, accusing the channel of fabricating claims against players such as Battlefield 6 competitor Riley CS, and warned that unverified allegations were being spread unchecked.

Call of Shame called to religious YouTube content

On September 27, Call of Shame posted a lengthy statement on YouTube announcing the end of its anti-cheating coverage. The creator said producing the same content had become “tiresome and repetitive” and described the gaming scene as “toxic” and “demonic.” Instead, the channel will now focus on spreading the Gospel, with upcoming videos planned around scripture, salvation, and current events from a Christian perspective.

The statement directly referenced Jobst’s video, calling him “a proven liar” citing Jobst’s lawsuit with Billy Mitchell. He made it clear that engaging in “reaction drama” was no longer worthwhile. “If my videos can lead even one person to Christ from the gaming scene, it will all be worth it,” the post concluded.

A first video under Call of Shame’s new direction is expected to be released soon, marking a drastic pivot for a channel once synonymous with hacker-hunting in the Call of Duty community.

Karl Jobst expose on Call of Shame

Jobst’s video centered on the case of Riley CS, a Battlefield 6 player who Call of Shame accused of cheating and being banned. The investigation argued that many of the channel’s claims were based on fabricated evidence, misrepresented statistics, and misused Twitch ban data. Jobst also highlighted how other creators repeated these claims without proper scrutiny, amplifying what he described as misinformation to larger audiences.

Beyond debunking specific accusations, Jobst questioned Call of Shame’s background and credibility, pointing to inconsistencies in the creator’s stated esports and cybersecurity experience. He concluded by stressing the importance of skepticism and due process in gaming communities, particularly when public accusations can damage reputations without sufficient proof.
