Campbell’s Chunky has partnered with Pabst Blue Ribbon to launch two new beer-infused soups available exclusively at Walmart starting in August.
The limited-time collaboration features two different soups. The first is Campbell’s Chunky x Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer Cheese with Potatoes & Chorizo Soup, made with savory chorizo, hearty potatoes, and creamy cheese flavored with PBR.
The second release is Campbell’s Chunky x Pabst Blue Ribbon Beef, Bacon & Beer Chili with Beans, which combines seasoned beef, beans, smoky bacon, and PBR flavor.
Both varieties are aimed at delivering bold flavors, with suggested pairings including bread bowls, soft pretzels, nachos, or even as a hot dog topping.
Launch events and tour
To celebrate, the brands will host a dive bar takeover at Ray’s Bar in New York City on August 21, where attendees can sample the new products alongside an ice-cold PBR, grab exclusive merchandise, and get custom caricatures.
A nationwide food truck sampling tour will follow, beginning September 3, bringing the soups to Walmart store locations across the country for a one-month promotional run.
Campbell’s Chunky Senior Brand Manager Ryan Pawling called the release “the ultimate flavor collaboration,” while Pabst Senior Brand Director Rachel Keeton said the partnership “celebrates flavor, fun, and the spirit of both brands.”
“Our fans love bold, unexpected taste experiences, and pairing Chunky’s hearty recipes with the iconic, malty flavor of PBR brings something unique to the soup aisle,” Ryan said.
