Capri-Sun released a limited edition long pouch that holds an unreasonable amount of juice, and people were so thrilled to get their hands on these pouches that they sold out immediately.

Snack and beverage companies will do all sorts of wild publicity stunts to advertise their products, whether it be a new flavor or some sort of eye-catching new packaging.

Instead of spending a long time thinking up some sort of new campaign, Capri-Sun has opted to just take their normal pouch and make it unreasonably long with the Solstice Pouch.

It may not be the most practical way to drink juice, but it’s proven to be incredibly popular. It sold out so fast that they’re making another limited-edition batch to keep people satisfied who weren’t able to get at the first round.

One of the greatest appeals of Capri-Sun is how kid-proof it is. A sturdy gusset combined with a small hole for the straw makes the pouch easy to set down and keeps you from spilling all your juice if you knock it over.

As for the Solstice Pouch, Capri-Sun has gotten a whole lot less practical. At a full 15 inches long, balancing this monstrous pouch is pretty much impossible. You’d need one mighty gusset to keep this big pouch standing.

Nonetheless, these limited-edition juice pouches sold out minutes after going up for sale.

Not only do you have to worry about the actual pouch, but it also comes with an extremely long straw so you can get to all the juice in there.

What’s more, these only cost $1.50 USD a piece. Considering the novelty of this concept and a generally reasonable price considering how much juice you get in each container, it should come as no surprise that these were a huge hit with Capri-Sun enjoyers.

The pouch doesn’t come filled but rather has to have juice poured into it, which is a double-edged sword. On one hand, you have to fill the pouch to use it. On the other, it’s re-useable.

These pouches have only ever been sold at Wal-Mart and are currently out of stock, but they plan to do another limited run on Tuesday, June 17.
