Chips Ahoy is partnering with Stranger Things for a new limited-edition cookie inspired by the show’s eerie alternate dimension, featuring its first-ever fruit filling.
The cookie features a chocolate base, fudge chips, and a red strawberry-flavored filling meant to represent the Rifts that lead into the Upside Down. It’s the first Chips Ahoy cookie to use a fruit-flavored filling.
Packaging features a glow-in-the-dark design and a retro look inspired by the brand’s original 1980s style, which matches the era in which Stranger Things is set.
The product will hit shelves nationwide on August 11, with early access available through a special pre-sale.
“Our newest cookie straight from the Upside Down. Chips Ahoy! x Stranger Things. Coming August 11th for a limited time only!” they said in a post on X.

Fans can scan a QR code on the packaging or visit its website to enter a Stranger Things-themed augmented reality game. Players explore a digital Upside Down, collect hidden cookies, and raise their “happy meter” to win prizes. Rewards include Stranger Things merchandise and a guitar modeled after Eddie Munson’s from Season 4.
The campaign coincides with the lead-up to Stranger Things Season 5, which will be released in three parts: four episodes on November 26, three on Christmas Day, and a final episode on New Year’s Eve.
