Chuck E. Cheese has been slowly rolling out Adventure Zones that allow kids to play complex and active games that have specific objective and set of rules. Now they’re looking to build on that concept with Adventure Worlds.

They’re planned to be multi-story play places in excess of 12,000 square feet that create a large-scale experience where kids can run around and play all sorts of games.

Additionally, there are no height restrictions planned for Adventure Worlds, meaning adults could head right in. Between this and the adult-themed Chuck E. Cheese project, there’s an increased focus on getting adults in the doors as well as children.

And, as revealed in an interview with the Dallas Morning News, Chuck E. Cheese’s CEO believes this and their other initiatives are the way to get back on top of the industry.

Chuck E. Cheese wants to completely take over the market

Despite the property becoming less and less popular over the years, Chuck E. Cheese’s CEO David McKillips still believes in the brand. He’s steering the ship and investing big to try anything he can to put the mouse back on top.

“I want every kid to go to sleep in their Chuck E. Cheese jammies and wake up and have Chuck E. Cheese cereal and make sure they get their homework done and behave at home so they can go to the treat down the street, which is Chuck E. Cheese,” McKillips said in the interview.

“We want to be the number one destination for kids all over the world.”

The first concept for an Adventure World will be opening in Arlington, Texas before the end of 2025, and it was made with the plan for children and parents to be able to go in together.

“At Adventure World, it’s kids and parents all playing together,” the CEO explained. “It’s bouncing, it’s playing, it’s having these kids choose your own adventure.”

And, even though the first Adventure World hasn’t even been opened yet, the company plans to open several in the coming years.
