Classic weapon revealed for Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 5

With Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 5 around the corner, the first new weapon coming in the update has been subtly confirmed.

Although attention is starting to turn toward Black Ops 7, with a reveal coming at Gamescom, there’s still plenty of life left in BO6 and Warzone. Season 5 is expected to drop around August 7 and could be the final full season of this era of Call of Duty.

As always, it’s set to deliver a ton of buffs and nerfs, crossovers, and, most importantly, new weapons that could shake up the meta in both games.

We’re still waiting for an official breakdown of all of the new guns coming in the update, but the first has been sneakily revealed in the Season 4 outro cinematic.

New LMG coming in Warzone & BO6 Season 5

At around the 32-second mark, eagle-eyed players spotted what appears to be the M249 Saw on a crate behind Woods, all but confirming that the LMG will be one of the new guns available in Season 5.

However, the Saw already appeared in MW3 as the Bruen Mk9, and the design on this version looks slightly different, which could mean that this is actually the M60. This would also align with reports from dataminers, who found that the M60 is in the files but has not yet been released.

Although nothing has been fully announced, it would make more sense for it to be the M60, as this LMG is more associated with the Black Ops series, after last being in Cold War. Meanwhile, the Saw is generally a Modern Warfare gun.

As pointed out by ‘COD Warfare,’ there’s also the possibility that it could be an updated version of the Mk 48 from Black Ops 2, another LMG from the same family. This would also act as a nod to Black Ops 7, which is set to draw heavily from BO2 in terms of story and maps.
