Roblox predator-hunting YouTuber Schlep says Congressman Ro Khanna has contacted him and is pushing the gaming platform to be more transparent about its handling of child safety.

The update comes days after Roblox permanently banned Schlep and sent a cease-and-desist letter threatening legal action. Roblox claims he violated its rules by staging “simulated child-endangerment conversations,” sharing private information, and directing users off-platform.

Schlep says his work has helped lead to the arrests of six alleged predators and that he repeatedly sent evidence to Roblox’s safety team without receiving meaningful guidance or action.

The ban has sparked backlash across the Roblox community, with creators such as KreekCraft, MoistCr1TiKal, and JiDion criticizing the company’s response and amplifying hashtags like #FreeSchlep and #BoycottRoblox.

Congressman involvement

Schlep told his audience today that Rep. Khanna, who represents California’s 17th congressional district and serves on committees including Oversight and Accountability, reached out to him directly.

In a video the YouTuber shared on X, Rep Khanna reveals he has launched a petition to push Roblox to disclose more about its child safety practices and how it responds to reports of predatory behavior on the platform.

“Congressman Ro Khanna has created a petition asking for transparency from Roblox regarding their child safety issues,” Schlep said.

Khanna said: “There is a growing issue in our country with Roblox, an online gaming platform, and the abuse of children. Roblox is simply not doing enough to protect our kids, inform parents, and go after child predators.

“Today I am calling on people to sign this petition. We need to keep our children safe online.”
