Date Everything’s Game Designer and Lead Writer, Ray Chase, has told us about some hidden dateables to discover in their wacky dating sim that has you romancing furniture and household appliances

There are exactly 100 different characters in Date Everything, from Dorian (the door) to Connie (the game controller), and even Dante (the fireplace). Each of these objects is dateable and grants increased Specs, but not all are easy to find, as many will discover when they play it.

However, when we spoke with Sassy Chap Games’ Robbie Daymond, Ray Chase, and Amanda Hufford, we were given some hints regarding the first hidden dateable you should aim to find, and how to unlock them.

During an interview with Sassy Chap Games, we asked how players would go about finding these secret dateables. After all, players can romance existential dread and other non-physical concepts, making discovering them pretty tricky.

Co-creative lead Robbie Daymond said: “Even if you think you know what something is, you might not know how to unlock it. So there are many characters that you know are out there that you just won’t be able to find right away.”

One such hidden character was revealed by Ray Chase. This is the first character you should look for and it’s by no means simple to find.

“I think first, one of the ones to just keep in the back of your head is Airyn Air,” said Chase. “[He’s] pretty hard to find. How do you date the air?”

He revealed a small hint: “One hint to keep you going is, listen and look around you.” Of course, air is all around you, but what Ray means is that you have to interact with a certain spot in your home.

You can date Airyn by interacting with the air that comes out of the air vents on occasion throughout your home. It doesn’t happen all the time, and usually occurs in the afternoon, so you’ll need to listen out and be patient.
