Delta Airlines is teaming up with YouTube to give passengers free ad-free access to creators, podcasts, and playlists during flights.

The airline announced a new multiyear partnership with YouTube that will expand its in-flight entertainment lineup across more than 930 aircraft.

The deal includes YouTube Premium access on seatback screens and personal devices via Delta Sync Wi-Fi, plus a 14-day free trial for SkyMiles Members starting October 1.

“This partnership was born from a simple but powerful insight: our customers love YouTube,” Julieta McCurry, Delta’s VP of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity, said in a statement. “Delta and YouTube are uniquely positioned to deliver an unmatched customer experience.”

A mix of YouTube videos, podcasts, and playlists is now streaming on seatback screens. Among the creators featured in the rollout are MrBeast, chef Nick DiGiovanni, podcaster Mel Robbins, and kids’ channel Mother Goose Club. A custom YouTube Music playlist, curated by flight attendants, will also play while passengers board.

YouTube’s VP of product partnerships Miguel Quiroga, praised the move in an interview with Hollywood Reporter: “Think about what Delta is all about, which is providing an amazing experience as they take travelers around the world. And from a YouTube perspective, we’re really focused on bringing the best of the world to our users through quality content.”

The airline first teased the partnership back in January at CES. Now, it joins other perks Delta has been adding to boost its travel experience. In 2024, the airline started serving Shake Shack meals on select flights, later expanded to more routes as part of its first-class dining upgrade.

With YouTube Premium now on board, Delta is aiming to make its in-flight entertainment as bingeable as the apps people can’t live without on the ground.
