Destiny 2 introduced a brand new Spread Shot archetype of Hand Cannons in The Edge of Fate, and one of them has god rolls so strong that it has dominated PvP since its debut.
Obtained exclusively from Trials of Osiris, Aureus Neutralizer has access to some seriously strong perk combos for PvE and PvP, but the latter is where it shines brightest.
Essentially a primary ammo shotgun housed inside a Hand Cannon frame, these are the rolls you’ll want to be on the lookout for when Aureus is the featured weapon in Trials of Osiris’ loot pool.
Aureus Neutralizer PvE & PvP god roll – Meta analysis
For PvP-oriented rolls of Aureus Neutralizer, there’s a handful of decent perks in each column, but in testing, we found the reliably consistent Lone Wolf and Opening Shot to be the most reliable. Together, they provide additional range, aim assist, and ADS speed – everything you want in the Crucible.
Closing Time is a possible alternative instead of Opening Shot for a wider range of stat boosts, but Aureus isn’t a special ammo weapon, meaning the perk won’t be active at all times like it would for a Fusion Rifle or Shotgun.
On the PvE side, Aureus is a melee build’s best friend. Trench Barrel and Grave Robber give the gun a massive 50% damage boost for three shots and automatically feed rounds into the magazine, respectively, just for landing a successful melee hit, allowing Aureus to churn out great primary weapon DPS.
