Destiny 2‘s Rite of the Nine event went live on May 6, introducing a dozen reprised weapons from existing dungeons, all with shiny new perk rolls to chase.
While the full suite of weapons won’t be available until Ghosts of the Deep and Prophecy enter the event’s rotation in the coming weeks, Terminus Horizon, obtained from Spire of the Watcher, has already emerged as a must-have for any serious PvE player.
While many of the datamined perk pools for Rite of the Nine’s weapons are nothing to write home about, the same can’t be said for this monster of a Machine Gun.
If you’re a fan of Thunderlord, the refreshed version of Terminus Horizon is the Legendary alternative that you absolutely must add to your collection.
Terminus Horizon PvE & PvP god rolls – Meta analysis
Yes, that’s Reconstruction on an Arc Machine Gun you’re seeing. The pairing is the first of its kind and automatically elevates Terminus Horizon to S-tier alongside Corrective Measure and Pro Memoria. Reconstruction automatically reloading any weapon it’s on is a godsend for Machine Guns, especially, due to their glacial reload speed.
That’s not all, however. Introduced in Episode Heresy, Jolting Feedback has become the best Arc-element add-clear perk, able to chain lightning between enemies on repeated hits. As Reconstruction eliminates the need to reload, this combo is deadly efficient, especially for Arc builds able to capitalize on Heresy’s Artifact mods and class Fragments.
For PvP, you’ll want Demolitionist for the Grenade Energy refund on kills, with High-Impact reserves granting increased damage immediately due to how Heavy Ammo works in Crucible.
