Destiny Rising has a wide range of characters that can be earned by spending Bon Voyage Charms to have a chance of pulling them from featured and permanent banner events.
Similar to other gacha games like Genshin Impact, some of these banners are only available for a limited time, rotating in and out of availability on a schedule.
While your chances of pulling these characters at base odds are low, Destiny Rising features a built-in bad luck mitigation mechanic, guaranteeing a character pull after a certain number of attempts.
As of writing, just one character is locked behind a limited-time banner, with several others available in a permanent banner option. Here’s everything you need to know about the current rotation.
What is the current Destiny Rising banner?
Two banners are available in Destiny Rising, including the limited-time Memento Mori. This is currently the only available method of permanently unlocking Mythic-rarity Lightbearer Gwynn.
Memento Mori
Gwynn is a Void-element Lightbearer with abilities and a playstyle similar to Warlocks from Destiny 2. The base probability of pulling the character from Memento Mori is a tiny 1%, although these odds increase in tandem with the number of failed draws, all the way up to 100% on the 60th draw.
See the table below for all of the possible rewards and their odds of dropping.
The Rising Lights
The Rising Lights is a permanent banner that also features built-in bad luck mitigation. A Mythic-rarity character (Gwynn excluded) is guaranteed after reaching a certain number of pulls.
See the table below for all of the possible rewards from The Rising Lights and their odds of dropping.
What does the current banner end?
The Memento Mori banner ends on September 25, 2025, which means you have just over three weeks to continue farming Bon Voyage Charms from in-game events and any promo codes offering them until rotation takes place.
The Rising Lights banner won’t rotate, but the characters obtained from it might. We won’t know for sure either way until Destiny Rising’s first banner rotation takes place later this month.
Next banners
NetEase hasn’t officially confirmed what banner will replace Memento Mori. We’ll update this section with all the relevant details when the developer announces what’s next. One of three currently unobtainable Lightbearers, Estela, Umeko, and Maru, is likely to replace Gwynn, however.
