Musician Doja Cat accidentally leaked her email during a Twitch stream, and immediately said she faced retaliation from Nick Minaj fans.
Over the years, plenty of celebrities have gotten involved in streaming and YouTube. Many has just dipped their toe in, joining streamers for sponsored streams, while others have a genuine passion for it.
Doja Cat falls into the second bucket of celebrities, as she’s regularly streamed on Twitch over the last few years – even getting banned for playing a game that she’s involved in. The ‘Say So’ singer has even got her own Fortnite skin, and would love to get an updated version at some point in the future.
However, during her February 21 stream, the musician made a rookie mistake, accidentally showing off some personal details and her email instead of hiding it from her viewers.
Doja Cat’s email blows up after Twitch leak
That’s right, after chatting to viewers for a little bit, Doja Cat was trying to hide her screen, but accidentally showed it off, revealing her personal email to viewers. She knew there and then that it was a pretty big slip-up.
“Oh yeah, I’m f*cked,” the singer said, before shrugging her shoulders. “I mean, what do you want me to do?”
Some fans joked that she was going to get hacked by Nicki Minaj fans, given they’ve had beef in the past. “Get hacked by a barb. Let me check my emails, see what happens. Yeah, my email just got f**king blown up. My email just got blown up. Am I going to have to change it?”
Doja also noted that she’d already been signed up for some lewd websites after the email appeared on-screen.
Obviously, losing an email isn’t the biggest pain in the world – she could have leaked more sensitive details like her home address or even key bank account numbers. But, it is annoying because there are plenty of places where you may get locked out of as a result.
