Doom: The Dark Ages is here, and if you want Doom Slayer to look his best while slaying demons, you can get the free Guardian skin through Twitch Drops.
As you fight through medieval hell, you can customize Doom Slayer with various outfits and weapon skins. Some are unlocked by unlocking them in-game, while others are included in pre-order bonuses and Twitch Drops.
The first Twitch Drop reward is the Guardian outfit, which is designed to celebrate the community, featuring the Doom Slayers Club (the official id Software fan club) on the shield. Here’s how to get it and equip it.
How to claim Doom: The Dark Ages Twitch Drop
To get the Doom: The Dark Ages Twitch Drop reward, you’ll need to watch at least one hour of a participating Twitch stream between May 12 and June 2.
How to link accounts
- Head to Bethesda.net and hit ‘Log in / Sign Up’ in the top right-hand corner.
- Either log in or create an account.
- Once logged in, click your username in the top right-hand corner, then go to ‘Linked Accounts.’
- Press the add button, then click Twitch, and either hit Authorize or log in.
- Go to Twitch, then watch a Doom: The Dark Ages stream with Drops enabled (you won’t be able to see the progress, so just wait an hour).
How to redeem the code
- Once you’ve watched an hour, find the Doom Slayer Guardian code in your Twitch Inventory.
- Head back to the Bethesda site and click ‘Redeem Code’ under Shop in the top left-hand corner.
- From here, enter the code (include the dashes) from your Twitch Drop and hit ‘Redeem.’
- To be safe, restart Doom: The Dark Ages if you were playing while it was redeemed.
How to change skins
Once you’ve unlocked the Doom Slayer Guardian skin, you can equip it by going to the Extras tab in the Main Menu.
You won’t be able to equip a new Doom Slayer skin while playing, you’ll have to back out to the main menu. But if you’re loading it up for the first time since redeeming your skin, you can equip it straight away.
