EA FC 25 LaLiga Team of the Season release date & predictions

The LaLiga Team of the Season is coming to EA FC 25 very soon, and it’s set to feature some of the biggest names in football.

The Team of the Season promo is always one of the biggest of the entire Ultimate Team season, and EA FC 25 has been no exception. The top performers from major leagues like the Premier League and Bundesliga have already been spotlighted, but there’s plenty more to come.

Spain is home to some of the world’s biggest names, so fans are eagerly awaiting the LaLiga squad to be revealed. Here’s when the EA FC 25 LaLiga Team of the Season is arriving, as well as who we think will make the cut.

The LaLiga Team of the Season will drop on Friday, May 23, 2025, as confirmed by the devs when they released the event schedule. It will release alongside the Liga F and Liga Portugal teams at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST.

The cards will then remain in packs for one week before being replaced by the Saudi Pro League TOTS. However, given the calibre of players likely to appear, don’t be surprised to see many of them return for the Ultimate TOTS.

Predictions

The LaLiga Team of the Season squad is chosen by the community, meaning that it’s not just the performances of each player we need to consider. We also need to take into account the overall popularity of each player and how effective they are in EA FC 25.

As always, we expect Real Madrid to dominate the squad once again. Despite a relatively slow start, Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe is LaLiga’s top goalscorer this season, so his place is almost guaranteed. We also expect Vinicius Jr to make the cut, as, although his numbers have dipped slightly from last year, he’s a fan-favorite in EA FC 25 thanks to his notoriously powerful card.

Title-winners Barcelona are also likely to have plenty of representatives, especially at the top end of the pitch. Raphina has emerged as an unlikely Ballon d’Or contender with over 25 goal involvements from the right wing, so it’s hard to imagine a world where he doesn’t get in.

Lamine Yamal is also a shoo-in, after the 17-year-old announced himself as one of the world’s best players with an incredible season. His card will likely be one of the most sought-after in the entire game — and probably one of the most expensive, too.
